Emilia Romagna: land of good food, hundreds of events and delicious food festivals.

In late June, the “Artusiana Festival” in Forlimpopoli celebrates the most famous citizen of the town: Pellegrino Artusi, the author of the successful cookbook “Science in the Kitchen and the Art of Eating Well”.
Piacenza promotes Gola Gola Festival and several Parmisan festivals.
In Autumn, the Tartufesta involves more villages in the Bolognese Appennini and it is possible to taste the White Truffle, typical of these areas.
Among the curious festivals the Fiera dello Scalogno di Romagna, in July in Riolo Terme.
Food lovers may also make a stop at the Ice-cream Museum in Bologna area.

Emilia Romagna offers not only food festivals, but also historical re-enactments, such as the Medieval Festival of Brisighella: three days dedicated ancient crafts, duels and music.

Opera enthusiasts can visit the houses of two legends of the Italian opera: Villa Verdi, the house of the composer Giuseppe Verdi and the House Museum of tenor Luciano Pavarotti.

Art lovers can visit the MIC of Faenza, the largest collection of handmade ceramic works in the world. Street performers from all over the world meet every year at Ferrara Buskers Festival in August.
